In the past 20 years, Steve worked in a number of top 10 media agencies and more recently creative agencies. He started out in media planning and buying before becoming a strategist. This hybrid experience is rare and DUKE believes is invaluable in the modern communications world.

As a Board Director at JAA Media he launched WKD to become the No.1 PPS, outliving Bacardi Breezer and Smirnoff Ice. He gained invaluable experience on a breadth of clients, from FMCG to youth, travel to charity and finance to fashion.

He moved into strategy in 2003 as Head of Strategy at Walker Media, where he helped win the £60M Barclays account. Subsequently he moved to OMD UK, where he helped win the £20M Post Office and £50M Boots accounts as well as authored two books on trends and then in 2009 he moved to Manning Gottlieb OMD where he won numerous awards including a Cannes Silver for Renault and an IPA Effectiveness Award Gold for Dacia. 

In 2015 he moved over the fence to work as a freelance planner at creative agencies including Grey, Red Brick Road and Collider before joining DUKE in early 2016.
