Magnetic Announces Appointment of Marcus Rich as Chairman
Time Inc. UK CEO, Marcus Rich will replace Magnetic’s launch Chairman, Mark Cranmer, who is stepping down to focus on other business ventures. Rich will be taking up the reins at Magnetic from 1 January 2017.
Mark Cranmer, former Global Executive Director at Dentsu Aegis Group, was appointed as Magnetic’s first Chairman, when Magnetic opened its doors in March 2015. Since launch, he has worked alongside Magnetic CEO, Sue Todd and her team, to help communicate the benefits of magazine media to advertisers.

Magnetic Chief Executive, Sue Todd said: “Mark’s knowledge and experience has been invaluable in setting Magnetic’s foundations over our first two years. He has been instrumental in driving more collective action from the sector and I have enjoyed working with him immensely. Marcus is of course already close to Magnetic and I look forward to having greater input and his ongoing support for big initiatives to help prove the contribution of magazine media’
Marcus Rich said: “It’s a dynamic time for magazine brands, with opportunities for advertisers changing at a pace. We have only just begun the job of better evidencing the effect that our unique and highly engaging magazine environments offer advertisers. I look forward to extending my role from one of founding partner to a more active role as Magnetic’s Chairman.”
