Chief Digital Officer Appointed by Condé Nast Britain
Simon Gresham Jones is appointed Chief Digital Officer of Condé Nast Britain, it was announced today by incoming Managing Director Albert Read.
“Gresham Jones has a proven track record of digital transformation, including with the FTSE 100 luxury brand Burberry where he was responsible for continuous digital advancement and was a member of Christopher Bailey’s Strategic Innovation Council. An expert at embedding digital thinking, building brand affinity and revenue through content, partnerships and product, he will ensure Condé Nast’s unique authority at the intersection of luxury and digital continues to grow. Technology lies at the heart of our evolution and Gresham Jones will be instrumental in driving this change,” commented Read.
Gresham Jones added, “I’m looking forward to working with this legendary portfolio of media brands, setting digital strategy across all of Condé Nast Britain’s businesses and developing new initiatives. Gresham Jones has more than 19 years’ experience as a digital marketing professional, having worked with global entertainment and lifestyle brands including Xbox, Disney, BBC and Universal Music, in addition to Burberry and experience as an independent consultant. During his time as Burberry Global Vice President Digital Marketing, influential New York University think tank L2 awarded the brand the number 1 ‘Genius’ position four times in their Digital IQ Index.
Gresham Jones takes up his new position on 4th September, reporting to Albert Read, and to Wolfgang Blau, Chief Digital Officer and incoming President of Condé Nast International.
