Magnetic took to the stage at this years Prolific North Live where we hosted a number of sessions with high profile magazine editors and industry experts as they discussed and debated the evolving role magazines play today.

  • Vic White, Commercial Content Director, Hearst UK shared how she and her team at Hearst drive super engagement through content marketing. The former Digital Director of Good Housekeeping, editor and now Commercial Content Director of Hearst UK, outlined what best practise looks like when it comes to integrating quality branded editorial content across all media channels and platforms for brands and provide tips for how to work with content teams to develop truly engaging work.
  • Sue Elms, research consultant, shared her 30 years of expertise from brand, communications and media and how she’s helped businesses successfully maximise the decision-making power of their consumer intelligence to deliver more meaningful connections and better ROI. Elms focused her session on the importance of brands finding their true north to ensure long term engagement and better ROI.
  • Panel: The Evolution of Storytelling  - Joined by a stellar panel of storytelling experts including  Lucy Pavia, Entertainment Director for Marie Claire, Kate Thornton (presenter and founder of TBSeen), Jackie Eyewe – Marketing Manager Atlantic Records, Laetitia Rennie - Director of Commercials and Branded Content, ITN Productions and Lillian Betty and Jon Tickner from Time Inc.'s storytelling team.

Time Inc. UK led a  panel discussion on storytelling in a world where information, formats and behaviours have changed so rapidly as well as our responses and expectations from the brands around us.  The discussion focused  largely on the multi-platform partnership campaign with retail giant Matalan, Time Inc and ITN Productions with the key takeaway being the importance of partnerships needing to be congruent with your brand and having people trust your content is key to your success.

  • Panel: Connections, not just clicks An illustrious panel  discussed and debated the role of magazine media in a data filled world. On the panel were; Lotte Jeffs, Acting editor, Elle, Tim Glanfield, Editor, RadioTimes.com, Nick Southgate, Applied Behavioural Consultant and chaired by Dominic Mills, Media Commentator
