Hearst Magazines UK appoints new Jamie magazine editor

Emma Ventura

Hearst Magazines UK has appointed Emma Ventura as Editor of Jamie magazine, the award-winning monthly food, travel and lifestyle title from Jamie Oliver.

Emma will lead the editorial strategy of the magazine as well as managing its content and the editorial team. Emma was most recently Deputy Editor of Jamie magazine.

Emma joined Jamie magazine in September 2014 having left Sydney, Australia where she spent more than 10 years contributing to Australian Gourmet Traveller, including three years as Deputy Editor/Travel Editor. Prior to this, Emma spent four years as Deputy Editor at Gourmet Traveller WINE magazine, contributing features, editing and commissioning articles about the Australian and international wine scene.

Anna Jones, CEO, Hearst Magazines UK, says: “We are thrilled to have added Jamie magazine to our portfolio of brands – it’s well known and trusted by consumers, and I am looking forward to seeing how the Hearst team can help it develop further. Emma knows the Jamie brand inside out, has strong lifestyle and food credentials and she understands how to create compelling and engaging content.  I’m very pleased to welcome her to the Hearst team and I look forward to working with her.”

Jamie magazine is the second title to join Hearst Made, Hearst’s content partnerships division, which also publishes Asda’s customer magazine Good Living. Hearst will produce all of the editorial content for the magazine and sell advertising across Jamie magazine, as well as jamieoliver.com.
